INTERNATIONAL COCOA - COFFEE & CASHEW TRADE FAIR (SICA)

Bernard Diby AKO, Chairman of Ivorian Commerce and Agriculture Organization (ORICA) and his esteemed delegation attended Winter Fancy Food Show at Moscone Center San Francisco on 19 – 21 January 2020. The event attracting more than 15,000 visitors daily and bringing 1500 exhibitors together, showcased 80,000 Specialty foods & beverages and thousands of new products. During the show, the delegation had meetings with the potential coffee, cashew and cocoa buyers and discussed the ways of trading of those products between the USA and Cote d'Ivoire.
During their visit to San Francisco the delegation also had meetings with Georges Angah Miessi, Honorary Consul of Cote d'Ivoire, Rodney Fong, President & CEO of San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and his team, Mark Chandler, Director of Mayor's Office of International Commerce and Frederick Jordon, President and Chairman of San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce, and Frankie Jacobs Gillette, President of San Francisco Abidjan Sister City Committee. In those meetings, Mr. Ako made presentations on Cote d'Ivoire's Cashew, Cocoa and Coffee production and alternative ways to increase trade and investment flow between Cote d'Ivoire and San Francisco.

Savvy Trade LLC worked with US-Arab Bilateral Chamber of Commerce to support the U.S. Trade and Development Agency's effort to host the Turkey Gas Transit and Trading Hub Reverse Trade Mission. The event will bring senior public and private-sector officials from Turkey's energy sector to the United States to learn about advanced U.S. technologies and solutions that can support Turkey’s gas sector goals. Through a series of site visits, presentations, and a business briefing with U.S. industry, the delegates will be exposed to cutting-edge U.S. products, services, technologies, best practices, and regulations as they work to develop their own gas transit and trading hub infrastructure.
The itinerary will feature the Henry Hub in Erath, LA – the primary natural gas trading hub in the U.S., as a means to share best practices with Turkey. As part of the RTM, USTDA hosted a business briefing on October 26, 2017 in Houston, for U.S. industry where delegates presented on their upcoming plans and procurements for the gas sector.

The World Corporate Games is the largest corporate, multi-sport festival on the globe and is open to all organizations, businesses, institutions, and associations regardless of size. To date over 25.000 organizations and more than one million participants have taken part.

ANKARA WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS AND SUPPORT ASSOCIATION VISIT TO CITY OF HOUSTON

The Honorable Sylvester Turner, Mayor of Houston and the City Council of Houston honored Ankara Women Entrepreneurs and Support Association (ANGİKAD) delegation with a proclamation and a warm welcome at the City Hall of Houston last week. The event organized by Deniz Senyurt, Senior Trade and Investment Attaché of Turkish Consulate in Houston in cooperation with Mayor's Office. During the visit, ANGIKAD also participated in Turkish-Houston Business Forum which resulted in 65 B2Bs.

USA EXPORT TRAINING CONFERENCE

The USA Export Training Conference in Istanbul brought together keynote speakers from the USA and Turkish exporters, business leaders, association members, entrepreneurs and others who are willing to learn much more about U.S. market and its opportunities. 150 participants representing 110 companies participated in the Conference.

Organized and facilitated several large ministerial visits to Houston and Austin. One of those visits brought together 700 business professionals with 142 B2Bs in April 2013 and was recognized as the best Turkish trade delegation to the U.S. by Turkey’s Ministry of Economy.

Hosted Turkish cable manufacturers during their visit to Houston and Dallas, as they met with the state’s largest importers, which resulted in 98 B2Bs in Dallas and 112 B2Bs in Houston. THANK YOU LETTER RECEIVED
