INTERNATIONAL COCOA - COFFEE & CASHEW TRADE FAIR (SICA)​

 

Since its creation in 2011, the International Cocoa – Coffee & Cashew Trade Fair (SICA) » is organized every other year, around the world following the examples of World Cocoa Conference (WCC), and World Cocoa Foundation Partnership Meetings. 

 

Following the shows on November 16 to 18, 2011 at Tokyo Conference Center Shinagawa in Japan, under the theme: "Control of Coffee, Cocoa and Cashew Supply, in Côte d’Ivoire" and also on 18 to 20 December 2014 at THE GRAND Hotel in New Delhi, India under the theme: "Involvement of Governments in Promoting the Processing and Consumption of Coffee, Cocoa and the cashew nut ", Bernard Diby AKO, Chairman of Ivorian Commerce and Agriculture Organization (ORICA) and his esteemed delegation attended Winter Fancy Food Show at Moscone Center San Francisco on 19 – 21 January 2020.

 

The event attracting more than 15,000 visitors daily and bringing  1500 exhibitors together, showcased 80,000 Specialty foods & beverages and thousands of new products. During the show, the delegation had meetings with the potential coffee, cashew and cocoa buyers and discussed the ways of trading of those products between the USA and Cote d'Ivoire.

Bernard Diby Ako, Chairman of ORICA visited Rodney Fong, President & CEO of San Francisco Chamber of Commerce  and exchanged views on increasing trade and investment flow between Cote d'Ivoire and San Francisco.

Bernard Diby Ako, Chairman of ORICA had fruitful meetings with Mark Chandler, Director of Mayor's Office of International Commerce and Frederick Jordon, President and Chairman of San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce, and Frankie Jacobs Gillette, President of San Francisco Abidjan Sister City Committee and Georges Angah Miessi, Honorary Consul of Cote d'Ivoire. In those meetings, Mr. Ako made presentations on Cote d'Ivoire's Cashew, Cocoa and Coffee production and alternative ways to increase trade and investment flow between Cote d'Ivoire and San Francisco.
